Elwick. – This week’s meeting was an interclub sandcastle-building event at Seaton Carew.
It was great to see Durham, Butsfield, Sedgefield and Stockton join in the fun making sand sculptures. Corinne judged Stockton to be the winners.
Next week’s meeting is a visit to Kirkleatham Owl Centre, leaving Elwick at 5.45pm. The cost is £3.50; £2.20 for under-15s. For details, call Katie on 01429-881778 or Katherine on 01429-836937.
Sedgefield. – This week was an interclub sandcastle-building competition at Seaton Carew, hosted by Elwick.
Stockton were the winners with Sedgefield second and Staindrop third. Sedgefield’s End of Harvest Ball is on October 1 from 7.30pm-3am at Sedgefield Racecourse (strictly black tie). Tickets, which cost £25, include free funfair rides, a two-course meal, two stages with DJs, and a goody bag, which includes a free day’s racing at Sedgefield worth £16. Camping available for £7 per tent.
