Manager John Thornton plans to make it a day of fund-raising for Macmillan Nurses.
"It started out as a birthday celebration to put the band on, but then we thought "why don’t we raise some money and it spread into an entire day’s event".
" It is my 58th birthday and Ian Kosoff , our best regular, has his two days earlier. Last year we had The Happy Cats playing.
"We thought we’d celebrate with a bit of a splash out on The Strawbs.
"We are not charging on the door but people will be asked if they want to make a donation to Macmillan Nurses."
"I have seen the trio before and they are an excellent night out "All of us knows somebody who has got, had or died of, cancer. The Macmillan Nurses are a great cause."
The gig will start at 9pm. Other activities during the day have yet to be organised.
